LAHORE - PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif is likely to return next week after more than a month-long stay in London due to his health condition. The political activities regarding key development plans in Southern Punjab may also take a boom after his return. Insiders in the PML-N told TheNation on Saturday that Nawaz Sharif might have returned earlier but his doctors advised him to avoid air travel for sometime. They said the partys reorganisation, which had reached near its completion, would be the top priority of Nawaz Sharif. Some other agendas including loadshedding and the issues affecting the life of a common man would also be prioritised, they said. Major political figures belonging to the Southern Punjab, who were in close contact with Nawaz Shair, were expected to join the PML-N on the return of Nawaz Sharif, the sources claimed but did not name the persons aspiring to join the party. When contacted, Dr Asif Kirmani, political secretary to the PML-N chief, partially confirmed the information that Nawaz Sharif was physically fit and would return to the country very soon. Dr Asif further said that doctors had advised Nawaz Sharif to take rest for at least three weeks in London. He told Nawaz Sharif would resume his activities gradually, as it was expected the doctors would advise him not to involve in hectic activities.
