OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The Punjab Government School Senior Staff Association on Saturday announced they would start agitation on May 1 if their demands were not met or any positive development was not reported in this regard. Association President Hafiz Abdul Nasir blamed that the school education department was consecutively ignoring their problems and demands. If the department did not changed its way of working, the Association would start protests and the same agitation would move to Islamabad to protest in front the Parliament House. The Association president observed that the decision was made at a general council meeting held at the Government Central Model School, Samanabad. The meeting was presided over by Hafiz Abdul Nasir and attended among others by Muttahida Mahaz Asatza-e-Pakistan Chairman Hafiz Ghulam Mohayuddin, Joint Action Committee Chairman Professor Dr Zahid Ahmad Sheikh and Punjab SES Teachers Association President Rana Sultan Mehmood Akhtar. Speaking on the occasion, Association Secretary General Ahmad said that the school education department was being pushed to destruction, and by ignoring the problems of the teachers, a wave of resentment had been run in the teachers community.
