OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - The term for the national and provincial assemblies should be four years instead of five years, as it would provide an early opportunity to the masses to hold rulers accountable, PML-Q Parliamentary Party Leader in the Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Zaheeruddin said on Saturday. Talking to media persons at opposition chambers, Zaheeruddin claimed that four-year term was sufficient to deliver good performance, saying the rulers who could not achieve the targets in four years could not perform in 20 years. The leader observed that the ruling party could get the support of all the political forces if it wanted to bring an amendment to cut the assemblies term to four years. To a query, he said that he would present his four-year term proposal to his partys high command.
