LAHORE - Speakers of a seminar on Dhaka fall at the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) have reiterated resolve to defend the motherland.
In a special message for the occasion, former president and NPT Chairman Rafique Tarar reminded the participants of heart-wrenching event. He termed December 16 a black day in the history of Pakistan. He criticized India for not acknowledging the creation of Pakistan.
He said India was hatching conspiracies against Pakistan since August 14, 1947.
Former CM Sindh Syed Ghaus Ali Shah blamed the tragedy Indra Ghandi, Sh Mujeeb and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He urged the audience to avoid making Pakistan army and judiciary controversial, saying that it would weaken Pakistan. He said strong institutions can take Pakistan forward.
Professor Ataur Rehman criticized Indian Prime Minister Modi for his admission to taking part in dividing Pakistan. NPT Secretary Shahid Rasheed said the Dhaka debacle was an outcome of continuous conspiracies. He said India was directly involved in the creation of Bangladesh and Indian Prime Minister Modi has also made an admission to this effect. At the end of the sitting fateha was offered for the martyrs of East Pakistan and unfortunate incident of Army Public School three years back.
HNPIP seminar on 20th
The Hameed Nizami Press Institute of Pakistan is holding a seminar titled ‘Pak-Afghan Relations—Status and Possibilities of Improvement’ on December 20 (Wednesday) at the institute auditorium. Former foreign minister Mian Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri, will preside over while former CM Mian Manzoor Watto, Deputy Secretary General Jamat e Islami Farid Ahmad Piracha and former minister and writer Qayyum Nizami will be the chief guests.
