ISLMABAD - As many as six matches have been decided on the opening day of the 8th National Women 's Volleyball Championship that commenced here at Rodham Hall, Pakistan Sports complex on Monday. Title holder, Wapda were off to a flying start in the 8th National Women 's Volleyball Championship defeating Police in straight sets conceding only 16 points here on Monday at Rodham Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex. The championship was inaugurated by Ch. Iftikhar Ahmed, deputy director ANF and Vice Precedent, Pakistan Volleyball Federation in simple and impressive ceremony which was also attended by PVF Secretary Major (R) Muhammad Afzal, Secretary Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Rana Muhammad Sarwar, President NWFP Volleyball Association Muhammad Iqbal and Director Sports HEC. Six matches were on card on the opening day.
