ANF nets 25 smugglers in 20 ops

Rawalpindi - The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out 20 operations against drug mafia in various parts of country and recovered a large quantity of drugs. They also arrested 25 smugglers including 3 foreigners, and seized four vehicles from their possession, he said. The recovered drugs include 57 kg Hashish, 8.4 kg heroin, 300 grams Amphetamine, 120 grams Opium, 500 grams Methamphetamine and 190 kg Acetone, he said.

According to spokesman, ANF Quetta, on an intelligence report, conducted operation on Pak-Afghan Goods Transport Company, Sariab Road and recovered 190 kg Acetone. A person onboard identified as Ayub Khan of Quetta was also apprehended on the spot. ANF Rawalpindi also recovered 430 gram heroin from a parcel at the office of a courier service company at Gulzar-e-Quaid.

The parcel being sent to UK contained a lady suit in which the heroin was concealed. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Vitz Car near Khana Pull, Islamabad and recovered 220 Grams heroin hidden in its dashboard. Two persons on board identified as Asim Hussain Pasha and a Nigerian citizen called Oti Emmanuel Danso, were also apprehended during the operation.
