Police nab ‘fraudster’

Kandhkot - Kashmore police on Thursday claimed to have caught a fraudster, who would allegedly collect money from people on the pretext of providing jobs to them.

According to Nadar Channa, Kashmore Police spokesman, police, on a tip-off, raided a place near Dera Mor stop and caught a man for collecting huge amount of money from people in lieu of providing them jobs in various public and private departments. When contacted, Guddu Station House Officer (SHO) Asghar Ali Tunio said that several complaints were lodged against him at various police stations.

Two wanted criminals held

Meanwhile, Kashmore police said on Thursday it had arrested two criminals, who were wanted in connection with several heinous crimes. According to details, police nabbed two alleged criminals from the jurisdiction of Ghora Ghat. When contacted, Kashmore Police chief Bashir Ahmed Brohi said that police, acting on intelligence-based information, raided a hideout near Damdamo and took into custody two notorious criminals, Mohammed Shahban Oghahi and Asif Oghahi.

He said one shotgun and a TT pistol were also recovered from them besides more than dozen bullets.

However, no case was registered till the filing of this news, while further investigations were underway.

Absconder held

Moreover, Kandhkot Police on Thursday apprehended an absconder, who was wanted to police in connection with several criminal cases. According to SHO Shahid Hussain Memon, Police nabbed Mansoor Ahmed s/o Din Mohammed from the heart of the city.

Woman killed for ‘honour’

On the other hand, a woman was strangled to death by her husband on the pretext of Karo Kari in the limits of Jamal police station on Thursday.

Bhaina Banglani, 22, resident of village Ganj Bux Bajkani, was strangulated by her husband Adnan Banglani who suspected that his wife had illicit relations with someone. Police said that Adnan took the life of his wife when she was asleep in her home. After committing the crime, he fled away from the spot, it added. After having been informed, police rushed to the spot and removed the body to a hospital for autopsy. However, no case had been lodged till the filing of this report.
