The tehsil administration has advised the traders to sell out commodities at the prices fixed by the administration, warning that profiteers and hoarders would be dealt with sternly.
“Anjuman Kariyana Association should ensure the sale of goods at the fixed prices otherwise, the violators will be fined. Those create artificial dearness will not be tolerated,” Assistant Commissioner Farooq Qamar told a delegation at his office. The delegation led by Association President Mian Javed Iqbal called on the AC. He also sought cooperation of the traders in this regard to provide the people with relief. The assistant commissioner also directed the Tehsil Municipal Administration to launch a clean-drive against encroachments after consultation with the traders’ associations. He said that the administration was making an all-out effort to ensure the sale of items at government-fixed prices. He advised that the shopkeepers and small vendors to display price lists at prominent places to avoid fines.
DEMISE: Mian Abdul Sattar, brother-in-law of Mian Bashir Ahmad, the executive member of the Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has passed away. The funeral prayers for the deceased was offered by thousands of people. He had been suffering from liver problems for a long time. Qul Khawani will be held at Jamia Masjid Hanafia. The attendees included Dr Noor Ahmad, Ibrahim, Abdul Razzaq, Shaukat Dawood, Abdul Qayyum, Salman Mehmood and others.
