Country made great strides under N rule: minister

SHEIKHUPURA - Federal Minister for Defence Production and Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that the government, all political parties, nation and armed forces have jointly fought war against terrorism and eradicated the menace.

"The enemy must remember that remnants of the terrorists will find no place to hide and will be wiped out from the motherland." The federal minister was addressing a public gathering here in NA-132, Imamia Colony the other day.

Rana Tanveer stressed that the issue Fata should not be politicised and it will be resolved in the next couple of days.

He claimed the country remained under the rule of a dictator and the PPP from 99 to 2013, adding that during this period the country's economy deteriorated while energy crisis and terrorism plagued the country but no one did anything to address these issues head-on.

Rana Tanveer said that the PML-N government in the last four and a half years has made tremendous progress and put the country on the road to progress and peace.
