ISLAMABAD - Helped by a stunning ton by Haseeb Amjed, West Indies Cricket Club thrashed Pindi Gymkhana by 101 runs to storm into the Friends Challenge Series final played here at Pasban Cricket Ground. West Indies CC, batting first, posted 198 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Haseeb Amjed batted brilliantly and hit 12 fours and five sixes in his 111-run innings. M Naeem and M Bilal contributed 24 runs each. Sanoober, Rashid and Ismail got one wicket each. In reply, Pindi Gymkhana innings was folded at meager 97 runs in 17.3 overs. Wasif (18), Danish (13) and Tauqeer (12) were the players who reached double figures. M Naeem and Ehtesham took two wickets each. Haseeb Amjed was declared man of the match. –Staff Reporter
