QUETTA  - Lady Health Workers Programme Employees Union (LHWPEU) has warned that if lady health workers were not regularised they would boycott polio campaign which was going to start from June 24th.
Addressing a Press conference, LHWPEU President Hafiz Haleem Shah said that Lady Health Workers had been recruited in 1994 and despite lapse of 16 years they were not being regularised.
“We moved the apex court and Chief Justice got issued notification of regularisation of Lady Health Workers from Federal and provincial governments,” he said, adding, that despite that the lady health workers were not being regularised.
He complained that lady workers were also not being issued salaries on time despite the fact that the Planning Commission issued salaries. “If notification of regularisation of lady health workers is not issued they would not only boycott from polio campaign would also fill a contempt of court petition against the government,” he warned.
