ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) treasurer Arif Qureshi has voluntarily tendered his resignation to PTF president Syed Kaleem Imam in accordance with the sports policy and informed the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) regarding the implementation of Supreme Court orders which barred individual holding the office for the third term. The PTF chief has accepted his resignation and asked him to work as a vice president. The decision on appointment of next treasurer will be taken in the next Annual General Meeting (AGM). Talking exclusively to The Nation on Monday, Arif confirmed that he had resigned accordingly. “I abide by the Supreme Court orders in true letter and spirit and have decided to quit after the court verdict regarding term restriction,” he concluded. –Staff Reporter
