150 suspects arrested

KARACHI - Separately, Karachi police claimed to have arrested at least 137 accused persons involved in number criminal activities while recovered weapons and narcotics from their possession. Police said that the accused persons arrested were including killer, kidnappers, bandits, street criminals, absconders and drug paddlers. The arrested has been made following the 77 raids and three encounters.

The accused persons arrested were including three under terrorism act, 28 for possessing illegal weapons, 29 drug paddlers, seven absconders and 69 others. Police recovered 34 pistols, four hand grenades and huge quantity of narcotics. Police registered the cases against the accused persons while further investigation is underway.

 Sindh Rangers claimed to have apprehended 13 accused including eight street criminals from different parts of the city. A statement issued by Rangers spokesperson that the Rangers carried out raids in Paposh Nagar, Gulberg, Jackson areas and detained eight street criminals, Anwar Khan, Noman, Muhammad Nasir alias Charbi, Bahadur Kahan, Muhammad Akhtar, Shani, Muhammad Bilal and Amaan. 

Separately, a Rangers’ team arrested an accused Muhammad Adnan Qureshi from Gulberg area. He was stated to be affiliated with a political party’s militant wing. Moreover, the paramilitary forces detained three drug peddlers, Khud Bakhsh, Abdul Ghani, Abdul Rahman and an Afghan national, Fitaratullah.  The Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons, contrabands and drugs from their possession.  They would be handed over to police for further legal formalities, said rangers.
