Islamabad - Air Vice-Marshal (Retd) Faaiz Amir, HI (M), has been appointed as vice chancellor of Air University (AU).
He will formally resume duty from Monday (20th October). According to a statement released by Air University, AVM Faaiz Amir (Retd) has served in Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for over 35 years. He has been a distinguished professional of PAF and commanded the prestigious Combat Commanders School of Pakistan Air Force.
He also served as Commandant National Security College of National Defence University (NDU). He possesses high command and management skills along with the advanced academic background. His appointment as vice chancellor of this esteemed university has been hailed in academic and learned community.
Faaiz Amir in his statement vowed to carry forward the mission of quality education at Air University and to work for the well-being of employees. He emphasised on quality teaching, advanced research, professional dedication and well-coordinated teamwork to thrive in academia for earning highest ranking among the national and international universities. The departing VC Air Commodore (Retd) Dr Ijaz Ahmed Malik, Registrar Air Commodore (Retd) Ghulam Mujaddid, Director Academics Dr Isa Daudpota, all deans, heads of departments and other Air University officials felicitated new VC on his appointment.
