DCO vows to upgrade schools

LAHORE - District Coordination Officer Muhammad Usman has stated that the City District Government Lahore would mobilise all its resources and efforts to grab top position for metropolitan city in the field of education and all set standards by PMIU would be achieved.
He further stated that inquiries against absent teachers should be completed within 15 days. The DCO expressed these views while chairing a meeting of District Review Committee at Town Hall, which was attended by District Monitoring Officer Lahore, EDO Education Lahore, Officers of buildings and education departments and others.  He directed officials concerned to forthwith arrange missing facilities of toilet and electricity connection in two schools.   “Instead of one day deduction of salary of absent teachers, an annual increment should be deducted,” he added. The DCO passed instruction about utilisation of funds of fiscal years 2014-2015 till 31 December, which included up gradation of schools, establishment of IT labs, repair of damaged buildings and constructional of additional high schools.
