A teenager and a boy were killed in jubilation firing at a wedding ceremony in village Ghang here on Friday.
According to details, the deceased identified as 10-year-old Umair Faryad and 15-year-old Tanveer along with their families were attending the wedding of their relative Imran. Meanwhile, some of the guests, under the influence of liquor, restored to indiscriminate jubilation firing. However, both the unfortunate boys were hit by bullet, leaving them with critical injuries. They were rushed to DHQ Hospital where they breathed their last.
The Bhiki Police have launched investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, four passengers of a bus sustained injuries, two of them seriously, when a rashly driven tractor-trolley rammed into it on Kala Khatai Road on Friday. The injured were shifted to nearby hospital while the Ferozewala Police are looking into the matter.
In Gujranwala, two persons were killed in different incidents. In Samanabad, a seven-year-old girl died in cylinder blast. The incident occurred when Rehana was cooking food in kitchen when suddenly the gas cylinder exploded. Resultantly Rehana, Liaqat Ali, Zunera, Maria and Musarat received severe burns and were rushed to hospital where seven-year-old Maria succumbed to her wounds.
In another incident, Zubair, a resident of Ladheywala was going on motorcycle when collided with another motorcycle. As a result he received serious injuries. He was got to hospital where he breathed his last.
