Greek envoy calls on BISP chief

ISLAMABAD (PR): Greek Ambassador Petros Mavroidis paid a called on BISP Chairman Enver Baig at the BISP Secretariat on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Enver Baig talked about the salient features of the BISP and said it will change its focus, emphasizing the graduation programmes including skills development initiative, Waseela-e-Rozgar, and the future plans would take into consideration the needs of national and international markets for providing relevant training to the youth. He also reiterated the commitment of PM Nawaz Sharif towards poverty alleviation in the country. He briefed the ambassador about other initiatives started by the current government for combating poverty in Pakistan. The Ambassador applauded the Chairman for his efforts towards poverty alleviation in the country. He discussed different avenues of cooperation with his and assured that his government would provide every possible support to the government of Pakistan.

FRESH delegation calls on governor
LAHORE (PR): A delegation of Foundation for Rehabilitation & Education of Slow Children (FRESH) Ashba Kamran called on the Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar and briefed him about the efforts made for education and rehabilitation of slow children.
Member Board of Governors FRESH Masood Ali Khan and Chief Executive FRESH Ashba Kamran led the delegation. Ashba Kamran told the Governor that the FRESH has launched Pakistan Association for Disabilities in Learning (PADIL) a year back to raise awareness about learning disabilities among masses. The Governor appreciated the efforts made by the FRESH in developing favourable environment for persons with learning disabilities to grow. He said he would try to win more and more support for the cause both from within and outside Pakistan.

Seminar on blood donation
LAHORE (PR): Khushhalibank organized a lecture for its staff on the importance of blood donation. The initiative aims to convey key knowledge about blood donation being a simple, easy and socially responsible act. Such events create involvement and awareness about community service and the bank will continue to explore ways to benefit the community.
