ISLAMABAD: Wahab Riaz was the hero of the day, as National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) thrashed Pakistan Television (PTV) by 86 runs in the President’s Cup One-Day 2013-2014 Tenth round match played here at Pindi Cricket Stadium Saturday. PTV skipper Zohaib Ahmed won the toss and opted to field first. His decision immediately paid off as NBP kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. It was Wahab who came to the rescue of his side as he hit polished 77 in 67 deliveries as NBP were all out for 228 all out in 44.3 overs. Zohaib took 3 for 62 while Nawaz Ahmed grabbed 2 for 23. Chasing 229, PTV were all out for 142 in 39.3 overs. Nawaz Ahmed made 55. Hammad Azam was the top wicket-taker with 3 for 12. Raza Hasan also grabbed 3 for 28 and M Nazwaz 2 for 33.–Staff Reporter
