Our Staff Reporter KARACHI Nasair of Saudi Arabia on Saturday added Karachi as its 19th destination. The inaugural flight from Riyadh landed at the Karachi Airport on Saturday. A function was held at a local hotel here to mark the inauguration ceremony. Speaking on the occasion Director Sales of Nasair Turki Al-Jiwani said that it was airlines 19th international destination in Karachi and the 20th international destination would be Lahore. He said that in the past three years, the Nasair has grown its business at the rate of 45 per cent annually. Turki Al-Jiwani said that the airline has introduced an average of five new international destinations per annum in the past three years. The aircraft utilization has been increased from six hours per day in the year 2008 to 12 hours in 2011. It was further stated that since its inception in 2007, the Nasair has carried more than five million passengers. Jiwani thanked for the support extended by the civil aviation authorities of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The Deputy Managing Director of Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, AVM Riaz ul Haq was also present on the occasion. Earlier, Maqsood A. Latifi, GSA Nasair Pakistan, presented the welcome address.
