ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that elected representatives should closely monitor the development activities within their constituencies to ensure that funds allocated for the purpose were judiciously utilised to benefit the common man. He impressed upon them to coordinate the development schemes in a manner to avoid overlapping of development activities which fall under the provincial PSDP. The Prime Minister was talking to parliamentarian who called on him at his Parliament House Chamber here Saturday afternoon. The Prime Minister emphasised upon completion of ongoing projects and schemes prior to launching of additional development work. The new schemes, he added, should be planned keeping in view the needs of the people of area as well as the adjoining regions to ensure harmonious development. The parliamentarians assured the Prime Minister that they would reach out the masses to assess their requirements and seek their input both in the completion of projects as well as planning for the future. They also apprised the Prime Minister of the status and progress of various ongoing schemes in their respective areas. They appreciated the Prime Ministers financial team for presenting a balanced and rational budget, which catered for every section of the society.
