Doubtlessly, energy is a prerequisite for the proper functioning of all sectors of the economy. Its availability determines the success or failure of national development programs. Pitiably, the energy sector in this country has not been developed to its full potential, thereby limiting its accessibility by the population and hampering socio-economic development. Consequently, this has impacted negatively on the industrial development and the standard of living of our people. This is a challenge for the government which does not seem to be serious about it, as only some ad hoc arrangements have been made to dupe and deceive the nation. Now the situation has worsened in rural areas, adversely affecting people and their economy. The working of industry and the courts has also been massively affected. Is there anyone paying attention to this issue, rationally and wisely?
