Poultry prices go out of reach in capital
ISLAMABAD (APP): Price hike has taken most of the chicken, eggs out of the reach of common man in the federal capital. Prices of chicken continue to rise for the past many weeks. A number of customers complained that shopkeepers were violating the price lists issued by the local Price Magistrates to the shopkeepers and vendors. “The shopkeepers are overcharging the customers and demanding prices of their own will,” Rafique Ahmed a customer told APP.The whole sale rate of eggs was Rs. 110 to 120 per dozen while the retailers were selling the eggs at the rate of Rs. 130.An official in price control committee said that a policy was being evolved to control the situation.

Paddy to be sown in 391,260 acres in Sialkot
SIALKOT (APP): Over 391,260 acres of land would be brought under paddy cultivation during Kharif season in Sialkot. The agriculture department has directed rice growers that paddy nurseries should be cultivated after May 20.  Paddy will be cultivated in Sialkot tehsil 113,465 acres, 89990 acres in Daska tehsil, 129,115 in Pasrur tehsil and 58690 acres in Sambrial tehsil.   The department has also directed paddy growers to use only recommended and authenticated verities of rice seed like Supper Basmati, Basmati-385, Basmati-370, Basmati-515, Basmati-370, Basmati Pak and Shaheen Basmati etc for attaining maximum yield of the crop.

Pakistan will export local made solar panels to EU, Africa
RAWALPINDI (Online): CEO, Tesla Technologies Aamir Hussain Sunday said that Pakistan has great potential for exporting solar panels to European and African markets which would boosts country economy. Following the European Union granted Technischer Uberwachungs Verein TUV (a German Technical Association) certificate to a Pakistani solar panel manufacturing company Tesla Technologies, a number of European Union and African countries have placed export orders for exporting Pakistani manufactured solar panel to these countries, said CEO of Tesla Technologies Aamir Hussain while talking to the journalists here in a during a press conference. 
Members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Nadeem, Sheikh Mohammad Ilyas, Sayed Asif Ali, Abid Hussain and others from different cities also expressed their deep satisfaction over these export orders from European Union and African countries saying the economy of Pakistan will get big help to revive itself after the country was granted TUV certificate by European union.

AJKCCI chalks out integrated
industrial development plan
MIRPUR (APP): AJKCCI has chalked out an integrated phased industrial uplift plan to promote local and foreign investment in trade and industrial sector. Newly-elected AJKCCI President Muhammad Azeem Mushtaq while talking to APP said that chamber has already moved recommendations to the AJK government by devising a strategy for early revival of over 70 sick Industrial units located in Mirpur and Bhimbher districts. He said that in the light of various proposals, the AJK government has assured to encourage and boost the foreign investment in the trade and industrial sector in AJK and colossal funds have already been placed in the ongoing financial year 2013-14 AJK budget.
He revealed that an international investment conference is proposed to be held in Mirpur in the near future to materialize the foreign investment-oriented industrial development plan in the liberated territory.
He further said that chamber has also asked the AJK administration for formation of a high level committee comprising officials of commerce & industry, electricity, finance, taxation to inquire about the problems of the local corporate sector especially the existing and intending industrialists.

Work in progress on mega
energy projects: Arain
MULTAN (APP): Provincial Minister for Prisons, Chaudhry Abdul Waheed Arain has said that work on mega energy projects is in progress which will help overcome energy crisis after their completion.  He expressed these views while talking to notables at his residence here on Sunday. He said that the incumbent government was serious and taking various initiatives to end loadsheding in the country.  He said the PML-N government was focusing on the solution of public problems on priority basis and added that the people would look change in the city after the completion of on-going development projects.
Arain said that dialogue was the only way to solution of all problems and that’s why the government had started dialogues with the Taliban for maintaining peace in the country.  He hoped that the country would make progress after the elimination of terrorism.
The Minister assured that all problems facing the people would be resolved at the earliest.
