Among dozens of protests rallies , the Pakistan Muslim League-Q also took out a rally in support of the Pak Army and the Inter Services Intelligence, and demanded immediate ban on Jang Group especially Daily Jang and Geo TV.
The rallies against the media group were taken out in Mian Channu, Katcha Khau, Jahanian, Kabirwala, Abdul Hakim and Khanewal city by different parties and organisations. The District Bar Association, tehsils bars of Jahanian, Kabirwala, Mian Channu and Kabirwala have imposed ban on the reporters of Jang and Geo in DBA and TBAs.
The PML-Q rally was taken out from the residence of ex-district nazim Ahmad Yar Hiraj. Hundreds of people attended the rally. The participants were chanting slogans in favour of the armed forces and against the media group. They demanded action against the elements who levelled pointless allegations on the important national institutions.  Particularly, they chanted slogans against Geo TV channel and demanded the cancelation of its license for their propaganda against the Pak Army and ISI. They condemned the blasphemous content aired during a morning show.
Addressing the participants, Ahmad Yar Hiraj said, “The nation is standing behind the Pakistan’s armed forces because they are our heroes and any propaganda against the institution is unacceptable.” He said that anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan activities at media were not acceptable at any cost. “Geo is misguiding and misleading the nation against Pak Army and ISI. It reflects anti-Pakistan agenda of neighbouring country (India),” he said.
The speakers demanded unconditional apology from Mir Shakeelur Rehman, the owners of the media group, over the efforts made to defame the military through media and over the blasphemous content of the morning show.
