If one approaches K-Electric to have an anomaly corrected in a bill, officials dealing with customer complaints suggest that one should make the payment first. Then they demand an application to be addressed to the management for correcting the mistake and from then a long process starts. Every month you have to visit the utility office and the case remains pending for months. This is especially true for the old town zone. The interesting part is that the power utility also claims reconnection charges of Rs 2,000. Now one may ask, what was our fault in the whole episode? The authorities concerned are requested to take action against this injustice.
