GUJRANWALA - The police arrested a man who pushed his two minor daughters to death in a canal while Rescue 1122 divers managed to recover dead body of one of the minor girls.

According to police, Mubeen, resident of Saleem Colony here, allegedly killed his two minor daughters - two-year-old Haram and 10-month-old Zainab, by pushing them into a canal.

Rescue 1122 divers recovered one body and search for the other was underway till filling of this report.

The accused told the police that he has not enough resources to feed his five children due to which he threw his two minor daughters into the canal.

On the application of the deceased minors mother, the Satellite Town Police have registered a case and started investigation.
