Islamabad-Islamabad police have arrested 15 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, heroin, wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said yesterday.

He said that Shahzad Town police arrested Asim Iqbal and recovered 250 grams heroin from him. Police team also arrested Minhas and recovered one 30-bore illicit pistol from him. Koral police recovered one 30-bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from the possession of Wasal Zaib.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police reviewed security measures around media outlets to avoid any untoward incident and discussed the issue with administration of media houses for further improvement in it. SP (City) Sheikh Zubair conducted special visits to various media houses where he met with the administration of these outlets to discuss security arrangements there. The SSP (Operations) has directed that all SDPOs and SHOs to monitor the security of their respective areas and keep check on their subordinate staff deputed for security purpose at various media houses.
