British MPs urge UN to send fact-finding mission to IHK

LONDON: The British Parliamentarians have urged the UN to send a fact-finding mission to held Kashmir to get first-hand information about the ongoing human rights violations by the Indian forces.

In a seminar on Kashmir in London, they demanded complete demilitarization of Kashmir and creating an enabling environment for holding free and fair plebiscite to ascertain the wishes of the people of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister's Special Envoy on Kashmir Senator Abdul Qayyum says Kashmir can become a nuclear flashpoint and must be resolved as the earliest.

Addressing a forum in London, he said the United Nations is doing a good job in health, education and climate change fields, but it has miserably failed in performing its primary role of conflict resolution and maintaining world peace.

Senator Abdul Qayyum said international community must play its due role for resolution of Kashmir issue for a durable peace in South Asia.
