Zong awarded LDI license
KARACHI (PR): China Mobile Pakistan-Zong, Pakistan’s fastest growing telecom network, has announced the attainment of the LDI license after reaching an agreement with Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA). Both entities signed the LDI License agreement at an event held to announce this latest development. CMPakwas anxiously waiting to get the LDI license, as the company plans to launch new services for the benefit of its customers.
The LDI license will now allow Zong to provide cost effective and efficient international call and SMS services to its customers as previously it provided these services through collaboration with different local partners.

Kashf, JLI launch micro-health insurance
LAHORE (PR): Kashf Foundation, a microfinance organization, has partnered with one of Pakistan’s largest insurance providers, Jubille Life Insurance. Kashf and JLI will be launching a micro-health insurance product which is the first of its kind in Pakistan, complete with a full range of ancillary services for low income clients including free of cost health camps, ambulance services, loss-of-income benefit and OPD services for Kashf clients and their entire families.
Meanwhile, FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd (formerly KASHF Microfinance Bank), a subsidy of FINCA international, has opened its permanent booth in the city of Hasan Abdal. The new permanent booth is a reflection of the Bank’s potential of strong business growth in Pakistan and a result of its strategic expansion drive in the country.
The permanent booth was declared opened by Chaudhry Jamshaid, president Anjuman-e-Tajiran Hassan Abdal. Also, present on the occasion was Mudassar Aqil, CEO and President FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd, along with other senior members of the bank and permanent booth employees.
This is the first permanent booth launch after the acquisition by FINCA International of KASHF Microfinance Bank Limited in Hassan Abdal. This permanent booth will offer the products such as like, Karaza Sahoolat, Maal Maweshi Karza, Zaraee Karza. The fact that FINCA offer very convenient banking services, fastest paper work to ensure quick disbursement of funds, we offer highly competitive savings products, and services like. ATM, Online Banking, etc. Currently FINCA Microfinance Bank has a network of 55 plus branches across Pakistan

‘Taleemi Cloud’ for AIOU
ISLAMABAD (PR): Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has rolled out Cloud Computing Service ‘Taleemi Cloud’ to Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) during a product launch ceremony held at AIOU auditorium in Islamabad. PTCL is providing Web Space, AIOU Personalized E-mail, E-Collaboration Services bundled with EVO access for the students, teachers and management of AIOU as part of Taleemi Cloud. ‘Taleemi Cloud’ is a unique product which provides end-to-end data and solution integration coupled with wireless access for remote learning.
The service is geared towards filling the void in this underserved segment, and shall provide increased educational opportunities in Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Nazir A Sangi, Vice Chancellor AIOU and senior officials of PTCL and AIOU including Samer Ajjawi, Advisory Team Member Business Development Etisalat; Zahid Mahmood, PTCL GM Corporate Sales North and Muhammad Nauman Ashraf Khan, GM Corporate Services & Business Development PTCL.

Mobilink Voiler introduced
LAHORE (PR): Mobilink has introduced Mobilink Voiler, a voice based social media service that will allow subscribers to connect and communicate with celebrities, friends and family over a virtual voice space. Voiler works on a similar platform as Twitter where users may create a followership of their own or follow others including the top celebrities of Pakistan.
The service offers a quiz competition called ‘Ek Din Star Key Saath’. The winners from the competition will spend a day with their favorite celebrities like Shoaib Akhtar, Shaista Lodhi and others. The service also features other campaigns like “Gao Meray Saath” where fans can get a chance to perform with their favorite stars including Ali Azmat, Fareeha Perwaiz and others.
