It is observed that journalists have been at the receiving end of the most egregious kinds of violence in Pakistan; target killing, blackmailing, kidnapping, torture and harassment. According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, 56 journalists have been killed in Pakistan since 2000.

Unfortunately, the rivalry between various TV channels decreases not only the unity of journalists but also creates conflict and tension amongst them. Similarly, bias is becoming a common trend in Pakistan as certain journalists and TV channels support political parties and their leaders owning to some finical advantage.

Therefore, I would like to all media channels owner to raise objections for the protection of journalists.
