ISLAMABAD The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Thursday approved different projects worth of around Rs 40 billions, sources informed TheNation. According to the sources, the CDWP meeting approved the projects, including National Project for Enhancing Existing Capacity of Grain Storage of the Agriculture Ministry, Fulbright Scholarship Support Programme, Water Supply Programme in Faisalabad, and Sewerage Schemes in Lahore and Multan. The CDWP approved 'National Project for Enhancing Existing Capacity of Grain Storage worth of Rs 27 billions. The main objective of the project is to ensure food security and enhancing agriculture production. As the country is witnessing surplus production of rice, wheat, and maize, during the current year and in the recent past, the government decided to increase storage capacity of the country, so that agriculture products could be saved for longer times, sources added. Similarly the CDWP also approved Rs 10 billions 'Fulbright Scholarship Support Programme HEC-USAID The meeting also approved two projects of the physical planning and housing. These projects are 'Improvement of Water Supply System in Faisalabad (JICA grant) worth of Rs 4.561 billions. The second project is 'Sewerage Scheme for areas adjacent to inner Bypass (Northern Zone), Multan and Lahore worth of Rs 376.514 millions.
