PESHAWAR (AFP) Combat helicopters attacked militant hideouts in Orakzai Agency Thursday, killing at least 19 rebels, officials said. The helicopter gunships destroyed six militant hideouts in the Dabori area of Orakzai where troops have been battling the Taliban since March, security officials said. The militarys media wing confirmed the raid saying, 19 terrorists have been killed. Another military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the death toll might go up. Pakistani forces launched the Orakzai offensive on March 24 in a bid to flush out Taliban who escaped last years major assault on South Waziristan, where the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leadership had its headquarters.
