JI delegation meets CM

LAHORE - A Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan delegation, led by General Secretary Liaquat Baloch, called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday and discussed political situation and other important matters.
On the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that it was the time of unity and not the politics of protest or chaos, as the country was passing through a critical phase when Pak-Army was fighting the war of Pakistan’s survival.
“In the present scenario, heavy responsibility lies on the leaders of political parties,” the chief minister continued.
He said that there was a need to demonstrate maturity by setting aside personal interests and prestige for the sake of country and nation. He said that prosperity and development was conditional to the stability of political and democratic situation. JI Lahore leader Mian Maqsood Ahmed and Director Foreign Affairs Abdul Ghaffar Aziz were also present on the occasion.
