LAHORE - Kinniard college won the inaugural U21 regional inter district women cricket tournament defeating Lahore cricket club by 38 runs in the final here on Thursday at Lahore Gymkhana Bagh-e-Jinnah ground. Put into bat first, Kinniard College struck 116 runs in allotted 20 overs and bowled out the opponents at 78 runs in allotted quota of overs. Fareeha Mahmood slammed 51 to lead Kinniard Club to a decent total as Hafsa Amjad added 21 runs to build the innings. Madiha Javed, Nashra Sindh and Benish Javed took one wicket apiece. Lahore Cricket Club innings evolved around Sidra Nawaz (33) as rest of their players failed to impress with bat. Kinniard Club main wicket-takers were Kanwal Francis who captured two wickets as Natalia Pervaiz, Naoreen Yaqoob and Ayesha Bilal claimed one wicket each.
