KAMALIA - Muhammad Sarwar Noor, a British citizen of Pakistani origin, has announced building a mausoleum of Ch Rehmat Ali - creator of word “Pakistan” - at Kamalia and moving his remains from UK to Pakistan as the national hero had wished in his life.
He has filed a case in the UK court which is nearing completion. Citizens of Kamalia tehsil are jubilant over this and are hopeful that he would succeed in his mission. Former Kamalia Municipality Chairman Rai Ziaullah Khan commended Sarwar Noor for his dedication to the cause. He stated that it would be an honour for Kamalia tehsil to have the mausoleum of Ch Rehmat Ali . Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Chief Organiser Manzoorul Latif Qamar Qadri said that Ch Rehmat Ali is the nation hero who had played a significant role in the freedom movement. “He was amongst the right-hand men of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” he pointed out. Kamalia Central Traders Union President Syed Akbar Ali praised Sarwar Noor for his mission and assured him of his full cooperation. Citizens of Kamalia are hopeful that they would have a national monument at their hometown very soon.
Mohammad Sarwar Noor told The Nation that remains of Ch Rehmat Ali are scheduled to be moved to Pakistan in the upcoming month. He added that he had met the British Funeral Director who had asked him to furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the Pakistani government.
He said that he has asked the Pakistani High Commissioner to release an NOC to the Pakistan Foreign Office so he could give that to the Funeral Director for the completion of the transfer process.
