MULTAN-The activists of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat (JAS) Multan brought out a big rally in collaboration with other Sunni parties on Monday to express solidarity with the participants of Labbaik Ya Rasool Ullah sit-in Islamabad .
The march begun from Ghanta Ghar under the leadership of chief of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Allama Syed Mahar Saeed Kazmi and ended at Chowk Kutchehry. The participants of the rally raised slogans against the government and warned the rulers of dire consequences if the perpetrators behind amendment in Khatme Nubuwwat declaration were not punished. The participants demanded immediate removal of federal law minister Zahid Hamid and his provincial counterpart Rana Sana Ullah.
Speaking on the occasion, Allama Mazhar Saeed Kazmi, Farooq Khan Saeedi, Pir Syed Ali Hussain Shah, Pir Shaukat Shah, Ayub Moghal, Waseem Mumtaz and others demanded the Prime Minister to accept the demands raised by the participants of Islamabad sit in. “We’ll not sit calmly until black sheep in the government are punished and expelled,” they declared . They warned that if any model town like tragedy took place in Islamabad , it would shatter the peace of the country and the situation would go out of government’s control.
They declared that the participants of the Islamabad rally were not alone rather lovers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) from across the country were there to support them. They demanded the government to release all arrested workers of Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Ullah and quash cases against them. They said that the government was going to provoke millions of Muslims to save two ministers. They said that if the government used power against the participants of sit in, Faizabad would turn into Mustafabad.
Earlier, the participants of the rally marched on city roads and waved green flags. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion to avert any untoward incident. Police blocked roads leading to Ghanta Ghar and Chowk Kachehri. Resultantly, severe traffic jam took place in the city area.
