MCI attaches high value to Cares–1122 service: Mayor

Islamabad-The administration of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) attaches high value to Cares – 1122 service as every possible effort would be made to further elevate performance of the service.

Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views while chairing a meeting to review performance of Cares – 1122 for October. Senior Officials attended the meeting held at CDA Headquarters.

He informed the meeting that 773 calls were received during the month and most of the calls received during October, 2017 were related to ‘Road Traffic Accidents’ which were 416 in number. These calls were received from the areas of police pickets Faizabad, F-11/1 Nazimuddin Road, Yamaha Chowk, 26 number Stop, Islamabad Expressway I-8 Bridge, F-6/1 PSO Pump, 26 Number Shell Pump, Sohan Signal Kashmir Highway, Opposite Laundry Gate Marriott Hotel, Near police Naka Mandi Morr, Margalla U-Turn Murree Road, Khayaban-e-Johar Metro Station H-9, I-9 Police Station Service Road Islamabad, Opposite Kalsoom International Hospital Blue area Islamabad Jinnah Avenue, Iqbal Town Bidge, Sihala College Gate No.7, Lakeview Muree Road, G-8/1 service road passport office, Khanna Bridge Highway and other areas. 

The meeting was further told that 143 calls regarding unconscious patients were also received during the period from different areas of the city.

The Mayor was also told that calls regarding patients suffering from chest pain, heart problems, abdominal pain and other were also received during the period.

Moreover, CDA Cares 1122 also made special deployment of its vehicles at 46 different locations, including Imam Bargah in Sector G-6/4, Jhangi Syedaan Jaloos, Jhangi Syedaan Golra, Imam Musa Kazmim I-10 Jaloos, Thalla Syedaan G-14/4, Bari Imam Main Gate, Punjab House and Judicial Complex G-11, Bari Imam Jaloos, Convention Centre, D-Chowk and other areas on request of different departments to cope with any emergency situation. Furthermore, different calls regarding heart emergency, breathing problems, kidney pains, electric shocks and other were also received during the above said period.
