No threat to democracy, country: Ranjha

KHANEWAL - It seems that Almighty Allah is angry with Nawaz Sharif and there is no threat either to democracy or the country in the prevailing circumstances.
Former federal law minister Khalid Ranjha stated while talking to the media at the chehlum of late Maj (r) Riffat Hayat Khan Daha here the other day. “Presently, there is no threat of any sort to the country as well as democracy, rather the rulers are feeling the heat of the accountability,” he pointed out. Mr Ranjha said that the PPP salutes to the judiciary for upholding the rule of law and Constitution, especially in the Panama case. He also appreciated the role of Pakistan Army for restoration of peace in the country and in the war against terrorism. He declared that the PPP always gave due respect to all national institutions. The chehlum of late Major (r) Riffat Hayat Khan Daha was held at his residence.

On the occasion, the participants expressed their sympathies and condolence with Wasim Hayat Khan Daha and Athar Khan Sial. Mufti Mohsin led the collective prayer for eternal peace and prosperity of the departed soul.
