Two captives recovered in katcha area

Kandhkot - Kashmore Police on Monday claimed to have recovered two captives during various raids in katcha areas. According to Kashmore police spokesman, a heavy contingent of police, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bashir Ahmed Brohi, conducted raids in katcha areas. “In one such raid, police, on a tip-off, cordoned off the entire Kacho Keti area and raided the hideout of Shaval Landhi where the captives had been kept,” the spokesman said, and added, “On seeing police party, the kidnappers escaped from the scene, leaving the two captives behind.”

When this scribe contacted Kashmore SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi, he told that two persons namely Mohammed Ishaq and Hoat Khan, both Nasirani by caste, and residents of Ghouspur, had been kidnapped by unknown militants from the National Highway seven to eight days back. “And today, police have succeeded in recovering them safely,” he added.

To a question, the SSP replied that police had already smashed dozens of hideouts of criminals in katcha areas and that a massive operation against notorious dacoits hiding in kacha areas was imminent, which, most probably, would be conducted jointly by police, Rangers and intelligent agencies. “Gunship helicopters will be also used during the operation to target the hideouts of criminals,” Brohi disclosed.
