FEROZEWALA - Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has handed over 14 anti-dengue brigade vehicles and fogging machines to 14 TMAs of the province. This was stated by the TMA administrator and officiating DCO Kiran Khurseed in a Press briefing here on Thursday. These machines would be utilised to eliminate the dengue virus in the jurisdiction of TMAs, she stated. The Punjab government was informed that some parts of the City and rural areas are in the grip of dengue virus. The spray process will soon be started with collaboration of health department, she said. She advised the general public to intimate any symptom regarding the dengue virus to her office for its eradication. Uncle kills nephew over enmity: An uncle killed his nephew in Burj Atari over an old enmity on Thursday. According to information reaching here the accused Ilyas who was declared Proclaimed Offender due to his involvement in crimes suspected about his nephew being a police informer.The deceased Nazir was standing on a bus stop when his uncle on a motorcycle came there and killed him.Factory area is police looking into the matter.Lady doctor injured in firing: A lady doctor Zartaj Shakeel posted in local DHQ hospital as children specialist received severe bullet injuries when some unidentified assailants entered into her residence in local DHQ hospital and opened fire at her. She suffered serious wounds and admitted to hospital, where she was referred to Mayo hospital Lahore due to her precarious condition. The motive behind the incident could not so far be ascertained.
