SADIQABAD - The Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has said that the province-wide violent protests against the prolonged loadshedding are justified.
“The elimination of loadshedding should be top priority of the upcoming prime minister,” demanded Chamber President Muzaffar Saleem, Mehtab Ahmad Cheema, Waqar Ali, executive committee members Basheer Ahmad, Imtiaz Ahmad, Adnan Ahmad, Riazur Rehman, Arshad Sultan, Abdul Samad, Atif Basheer, Kashif Lateef, Abdul Salam and Muhammad Ashraf.
They were of the view that the outages-hit general public, industrialists and traders had been forced to take to the streets across the province against the government.
They said that loadshedding was causing irreparable loss to industrial sector besides affecting the common man. They said that the forthcoming prime minister and the water and power minister should take solid steps to remarkably reduce the duration of loadshedding by controlling mismanagement in the power sector. They also warned that if the government remained failed in resolving the burning issue, the protest would become more violent, adding that the people were losing their temper.
