RAWALPINDI  – Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah has said that negligence on part of traffic wardens would not be tolerated and directed them to behave with the citizens in a polite and respectful way on the roads. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held at Raees Course on the eve of the completion of four years of traffic wardens here on Thursday. He directed to all traffic wardens to educate and guide the citizens regarding the traffic rules and regulations, which should be followed during driving on the roads, with affection and well-mannered attitude. He made it clear on all the traffic wardens that citizens should not be disturbed without reason and should only be asked to stop if they commit a traffic offence. He said minor traffic rules violations should be ignored with all out efforts to provide relief to the citizens. He said traffic wardens should perform their duties with dedication and commitment so that a better image about the force could be created among masses. Ishtiaq said that no one should be spared if found involved in severe traffic rules violations.
