KHYBER AGENCY - Two tribesmen were killed and two others sustained injuries when two groups exchanged fire with each other over a dispute on land in Jamrud Bazaar, official and local sources said on Thursday.
They said that last morning Sailaab group appeared in the market of Jamrud Bazaar and opened indiscriminate firing on its rival Qalam Khan group who were sitting in their car bargain center.
One person from the attacked group was killed on the spot while one person of the attackers group was stabbed to death. The deceased were identified as Jahangir and Dawood.
Two persons, Mohmand and Mukkram, one each from both groups received bullet wounds and were shifted to hospital for medical aid, sources said.
Soon after the incident, the local administration officials rushed to the spot and arrested three persons from the two groups, administration official confirmed.
It is worth mentioning here that the administration of Jamrud had made ceasefire through customary method of Theega (stone) between the rival groups according to which the violator has to pay fine Rs.2millions.
Qalam khan, head of attacked group said that his rivals had broken law in past and now he again made violation therefore he requested to administration to punish them accordingly.
