Maryam sees landslide victory in next polls

LAHORE - Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif lives in the people’s heart and no one can separate him from the masses.

Addressing the party workers and talking to media in the NA-120, Sandha, here yesterday Maryam said Nawaz Sharif had been heartbeat of the people in the past and would remain so in future. She said the public response and love to them was a precious asset for the Sharif family. Nawaz served the masses in the past and will continue to do it in the time to come, said Maryam Nawaz, who played a pivotal role in the victory of her mother Begum Kalsoom Nawaz in the September 17 by-polls.

She said no power in the world could take Nawaz’s love out of the hearts of the masses. It was the power of votes against which no power could stand, she said expressing strong hope of PML-N’s landslide victory in the election next year and crushing defeat to the rival parties. Maryam who has become a frequent visitor to this constituency also thanked the people for voting Begum Kalsoom to the parliament.

On the occasion, Maryam also inaugurated a 3.2km long Sandha Road. The PML-N workers expressed tremendous exuberance for Nawaz by way of chanting loud slogans in his favour, besides showering rose petals on Maryam’s vehicle.  Later, Maryam drove back to Jati Umrah residence in tight security.
