PR LAHORE - Computer education is the best source for achieving the fruitful results of science and technology in the 2lst century. The government should arrange provision of free gainful and standard computer education to each child so that the needs of industrial revolution could be achieved.
These views were expressed by All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union CBA General Secretary Khurshid Ahmad while addressing the ceremony of certificate distribution among students who successfully completed six-month computer course at Bukhtiar Memorial Computer Free Education Centre. The ceremony was attended by a large number of students and their parents.
On the occasion, the general secretary said that it is sorry that the government has adopted double education system, one for the children of poor and other for the children of rich. He further said that the government should provide modern technical and gainful free education to each child.
He said that the union with his meager resources has arranged provision of free computer education to the children of low paid employees in all the four provinces of the country. Addressing at the occasion, Lesco Chief Executive Syed Wajid Ali Kazmi said that provision of free computer education to the children of low paid employees is a great achievement which will enable the children to gain employment. The ceremony was also addressed by Director Labour Lahore Region Muhammad Ilyas Ghuman, Superintending Engineer and Salma Yasmeen.
