LAHORE (Staff Reporter): The Punjab government has fixed Rs13000 as minimum monthly wages for industrial labourers and workers. According to a notification issued by Secretary Minimum Wages Board of Punjab, Minimum Wages Board Punjab has increased minimum wages of all unskilled workers working in industries to Rs 13000 while minimum wages of skilled and semi skilled labourers of 102 registered industries in Punjab has been increased by 8.33 percent which will be enforced from July 1.
It is worth mentioning that Minimum wages Board Punjab is continuously increasing the wages of labourers on annual basis since 2011 which is a record. This is an important step of government policy to maintain industrial peace and prosperity of workers.
