Daultana inspects work at Vehari DHQ Hospital

VEHARI - PML-N MNA Tehmina Daultana said that the Punjab government was trying to provide better healthcare for the people, adding that a grant of Rs517 million for the upgradation of District Headquarters Hospital of Vehari is a proof of it.
She was inspecting the upgradation work at the DHQ Hospital along with Saqib Khurshid, MPA Shamila Aslam, EDO (Health) Ghazanfar Abbas and Medical Superintendent Muhammad Ashraf.
She said that the hospital was delivering modern medical facilities to the local people. After completion of the upgradation, 300 doctors and paramedics would be recruited. With the completion of staff, the people would get 24-hour medical facilities, she said. She also noted that new blankets and pillows had been provided with the hospital at a cost of Rs1 million. She appreciated the administration for providing good healthcare for the local people.
DBA body sworn in: An oath taking ceremony of newly elected office bearers of the District Bar Association of Vehari was held at the DBA hall.
Lahore High Court Justice Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi administered the oath to Syed Nadeem Raza Bukhar, the DBA president, and Muhammad Subhaan, secretary general, and other office-bearers. Addressing the lawyers, he said that rule of law is important for justice. He said that young lawyers are the hope of the oppressed and downtrodden. He added justice was the only difference between democratic and undemocratic countries.
Later, the DBA president thanked the LHC judge for his visit to Vehari. The secretary general also spoke on the occasion.
