KARACHI – Taking serious notice of the firing on the “Love Sindh” rally, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday directed the Sindh Police chief, Rangers director general and other law-enforcement agencies to deal sternly with those behind the condemnable act. The chief minister expressed profound grief over the loss of precious lives and sympathised with the bereaved families. He also ordered the health secretary and Civil Hospital MS to make proper arrangements for treatment of those injured. Qaim meanwhile appealed to the citizens to show restraint to help preserve peace and foil conspiracies of anti-social elements who, according to him, wanted to destabilise Karachi.
