Islamabad - National Book Foundation (NBF) has completed the task of redeveloping of textbooks up to international level and optimal standardization in three months.
For the purpose useful and productive workshops on textbooks development were conducted and textbooks developer experts, authors and scholars attended these workshops.
After brainstorming and intensive discussion, the whole job of development, printing and delivery of textbooks from Grade-I to Grade-X was completed for students of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Federal Directorate of Education institutions for current academic session.
Managing Director NBF , Prof Dr Inam ul Haq Javed who made a comprehensive plan to redevelop textbooks with attractive layout, design and technique of taxonomy, initiated the textbooks review plan, said a news release issued here on Friday.
April 30th was announced the final date for completion of the task and despite the fact that last payment of bills was too late, NBF achieved this target with fast track system.
Under the supervision of renowned textbook development expert, Prof Dr Attash Durrani, the book development section was further equipped and it made corrections in textbooks from Class-I to Class-X in first phase.
At NBF , the foundation review committee started its work on developing standard textbooks . The comprehensive plan was chalked out to makeup these textbooks up to the international level and optimal standardization.
The authors were called to go through textbooks with making strategy in five important workshops and then revised these textbooks accordingly.
It is reiterated that NBF delivered all subjects, titles at specified source centres of FDE according to prescribed demand.
With due concentration of staff and personal interest of managing director, NBF succeeded in the printing of high graded quality of content, material paper, design, layout of textbooks and students got these at the start of academic session 2015-16.
