LAHORE - Dozens of Pakistani Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers led by party General Secretary Khurram Nawaz Gandapura on Friday protested against the joint investigation report of Punjab government on Model Town incident.
Holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, former Law minister Rana Sanaullah and Punjab Police, they termed the report on the incidents as malign and an already decided ‘script’ on the direction of the Sharifs. PTI MPAs Sabtain Khan, Mian Aslam and Murad Ras also joined the protestors.
The PAT leaders, addressing the gathering, vowed to continue struggle against the injustice of the families of workers killed during Model Town incident. They said that a joint investigation team in consultation of the families of the persons died in Model Town should be formed to investigate the incident. They said the report was one sided and PAT would never accept it.
