ISLAMABAD - The federal government has decided to issue next week the notification of recently promoted 18 babubs of different service groups to grade 22, The Nation learnt on Friday.
The high-powered promotion board was chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on April 28 which had given recommendations for the promotion of 18 secretaries and additional sectaries to grade 21 into grade 22.
The source in Establishment Division informed this scribe that the board's recommendations had been sent to the PM House for the PM's approval.
It may be for the first time that the PM is taking too much time (a month) for giving approval to the board's recommendations despite the fact that he himself had chaired the board meeting.
The sources said that it is possible that PM office send the recommendations back to the promotion board with the PM's approval next week . The official mentioned that the recommendations of more than 150 officers of all 13 occupational groups of grade 20 and 21 were still pending.
A senior official of Establishment Division told The Nation that the Information Ministry had also moved a summary of its four officers to PM office for their promotion to grade 20 and 21 which was recommended by the Central Selection Board.
